"The victory is very important to us. After we had suffered two consecutive defeats, people were skeptical about us. The win helped relieve us both mentally and physically," said Wuhan head coach Pedro Pineda.

In Saturday's game against Hebei FC, Henan Songshan Longmen striker Fernando Karanga was flagged offside twice, while managing to get on the score sheet with a header two minutes before halftime.

Henan climbed to fourth in the standings with 34 points, while Hebei, after suffering their 13th straight defeat, remained at the bottom with one win and 19 defeats.
