CSL: Shanghai Port held by 10-man Shenhua

BEIJING - Shanghai Port were held to a 1-1 draw at home against 10-man Shanghai Shenhua in the fourth round of the 2023 Chinese Super League on Sunday.

Port and Shenhua entered the first Shanghai derby of the season as the top two teams in the league, each with three wins from as many games. Shenhua was the only team that had kept a clean sheet.

Shenhua leveled the score in the 69th minute when substitute Yu Hanchao sent the ball home with a low strike. Teixeira received a straight red card for a nasty foul just two minutes from the end.

With the draw, both Shanghai teams remain unbeaten at the top of the standings with 10 points from four games. Tianjin Jinmen Tigers sit in third place with eight points.

In other CSL fixtures on Sunday, Chengdu Rongcheng defeated bottom-of-the-table Zhejiang FC 2-0, Changchun Yatai tied with Tianjin 1-1, Shenzhen FC drew 1-1 at home against Henan Songshan Longmen, and Cangzhou Mighty Lions tied with Nantong Zhiyun 1-1.
