BEIJING - Cheng Shuaipeng's layup with 20.8 seconds left on the clock helped the Zhejiang Golden Bulls edge the Shenzhen Aviators 91-90 in Game 5 of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) semifinals, lifting the home squad into the CBA Finals for the first time in team history.

Zhejiang had fallen 2-1 behind in the best-of-five semifinals but rallied past Shenzhen with two one-point games.

Following his 3-pointer buzzer-beater in Game 4, Cheng again decided the fate of the regular season winners. He had a game-high 26 points and nine assists.

Star guard Wu Qian scored 17 and center Yu Jiahao added 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Golden Bulls.

Although starter center Shen Zijie sat out due to an ankle injury, the Aviators showed great toughness. Guard He Xining almost played the whole game to contribute 10 points, six rebounds and five steals, while Jared Sullinger scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Surprisingly, 20-year-old sophomore Sun Haoqin ignited the final sprint for Shenzhen, scoring nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. The young point guard showed maturity way beyond his years on the court, steadily pushed to the front court in the last run, but unfortunately failed to make the last 3-pointer.

The Shenzhen Aviators have stopped at the semifinal stage for the seventh time.
