HK's 'Flying Fish' strikes gold in Budapest

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's “flying fish” Siobhan Bernadette Haughey claimed a gold medal at the Swimming World Cup in Budapest on Saturday.

Haughey won the women’s 200 meters freestyle in a World Cup record time of 1:54.08, beating the Czech Republic’s Barbara Semanova, who came in second (1:55.79), and New Zealand’s Erika Fairweather (1:56.08).

Hong Kong’s swimming star had secured a silver medal in the women’s 50 meter freestyle on Friday.
