BEIJING - The Zhejiang Lions held off the Jilin Northeast Tigers 87-84 at home for their fifth consecutive victory of the season, while the Shanxi Loongs beat the Qingdao Eagles 123-112 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) League on Thursday.
Zhu Junlong led a 6-0 run for Zhejiang after tip-off, but Jilin soon struck back with Dezemin Wells's three-pointer and ended the first quarter with a 19-17 lead.
The second quarter was intensely battled and Zhejiang built a 42-41 advantage at halftime as Hu Jinqiu collected 12 points.

Jilin overtook Zhejiang in the mid of the fourth quarter, but the latter finally prevailed with an 8-0 run.
Hu led Zhejiang with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Sun Minghui added 17 points and 15 rebounds. On the Jilin side, Dezemin Wells contributed 19 points.

Also on Thursday, Ge Zhaobao had 24 points and six rebounds to help Shanxi beat Qingdao for their third straight victory.
