"I was playing my second final, first wasn't good for me and I was trying to do my best to get this one," The 25-year-old added.

It took Alexandrova only a little more than half an hour to get the initiative. Rybakina was only able to hold one service game and handed over the first set after a long battle on deuce.

"I didn't expect the first set would be so easy, because I know she plays so well," Alexandrova said.

Rybakina fought hard in the second set to build a 4-2 advantage before Alexandrova stormed to win four straight games with her powerful groundstrokes and sealed the victory.

"In the second set, I think she played well, and I was lucky when it was 4-4 with a net, and that gave me three breakpoints," the Russian said.
