LAUSANNE - South Korea's Jang Sung-woo claimed men's 1,000m gold medal on Saturday at the YOG short track speed skating.
Jang Sung-woo crossed the finish line in 1:33.531 to give South Korea the second gold on the opening day, followed by his compatriot Lee Jeong-min in 1:33.646 and Li Kongchao of China in 1:33.851.

China's Li was leading in the midway of the final before finding himself sandwiched between Jang Sung-woo and Lee Jeong-min. The South Korea duo dominated the final laps to finish first and second.
"I played at my nomal level but the result made me upset," said the 17-year-old Li, "My strength is men's 500m, I am looking forward to prove myself on it."

The men's and women's 500m matches will play on Monday.
