BEIJING —Multiple medical institutions are conducting clinical trials for the anti-novel coronavirus drug Remdesivir, Chinese health authorities said Monday.
Information and data of clinical trials for Lopinavir and Ritonavir and traditional Chinese medicines are being collected
The clinical trials are aimed to study the safety and effectiveness of the drug, said Song Shuli, spokesperson for the National Health Commission (NHC), at a press conference.

Information and data of clinical trials for Lopinavir and Ritonavir and traditional Chinese medicines are being collected, Song said.
The NHC has issued a trial plan for the diagnosis and treatment of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, Song said, adding that the plan offers detailed information of the medicines, both traditional Chinese medicines and western medicines, used in the treatment of the disease.

All documents released by the NHC are available on its official website, Song said.
