BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a congratulatory message to Alpha Conde on his re-election as Guinea's president.

In his message, Xi emphasized that China and Guinea are good friends and brothers enjoying sincere friendship and mutual trust, adding that he attaches great importance to the development of the bilateral ties and values the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Xi said that he is willing to work with Conde to strengthen mutual support and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, so as to promote greater development of the China-Guinea comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and bring benefits to the two countries and peoples.
