S. Arabia denies meeting between crown prince, Israeli officials

RIYADH - Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Monday denied reports of a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Israeli officials during a visit by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

"I have seen press reports about a purported meeting between HRH the Crown Prince and Israeli officials during the recent visit by @SecPompeo. No such meeting occurred. The only officials present were American and Saudi," the Saudi foreign minister said in a tweet in his official account.

The Saudi crown prince met Pompeo on Sunday in the city of Neom in northwestern Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Both parties reviewed friendship relations, the latest developments in the Middle East and the efforts being exerted concerning them, the report said.
