QUITO - Spanish tennis great Rafael Nadal will play an exhibition match in Ecuadorian capital Quito in November, organizers said on Wednesday.

The clash against a yet-to-be determined opponent will take place at the 15,000-capacity Ruminahui Coliseum on Nov 27, according to former Ecuadorian tennis player Nicolas Lapentti, who is coordinating the event.

"The Latin American public has always welcomed me and it will be special for me to visit this country for the first time," Nadal said in a video shown during a press conference.

"I would love to have more time to visit the country in the future. We will leave the Galapagos Islands for the next one. I hope the day of the match will be an unforgettable day."
