CSL: Dalian smashes Shenzhen, Zhejiang edges Guangzhou

WUHAN - Fei Yu scored a brace to help Dalian Pro bag a 5-1 victory over Shenzhen FC, while Zhejiang FC defeated Guangzhou FC 3-0 in the 12th round of the Chinese Super League on Thursday.

As soon as the second half began, assisted by Borislav Tsonev, Lin Liangming of Dalian sent a curled shot to get on the scoresheet. In the 72nd minute, Streli Mamba, on as a substitute, volleyed the ball to hit the goal post which then bounced into the gate. Nine minutes later, Lin contributed one more goal to Dalian with a header and sealed the game 5-1.

Elsewhere, Zhejiang broke the deadlock in the second minute, when Yao Junsheng sent a spot kick to the penalty area and Croatian midfielder Franko Andrijasevic took a shot at goal. Guangzhou could have cut the deficit in the 18th minute, but Wei Shihao's goal was later ruled out for offside.

Zhejiang extended the lead at 49, as Donovan Ewolo turned onto Gu Bin's pass and headed the ball to the right corner. In the stoppage time, Andrijasevic's header added a crown touch to Zhejiang's 3-0 victory.

In the other two matches on Thursday, Cangzhou Mighty Lions held Shanghai Port to a goalless draw, while Chengdu Rongcheng beat Changchun Yatai 1-0.
