SUZHOU - Brazilian midfielder Moises produced a masterclass performance and created two goals as Shandong Taishan beat Zhejiang FC 2-1 to clinch their third consecutive CFA Cup here on Sunday.
There was some bad news for Shandong ahead of the final. Brazilian forward Crysan was ruled out after having been sent off in Wednesday's semifinal, while midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who has made 28 appearances and scored seven goals this season, was absent with a shoulder injury.
Zhejiang broke the deadlock in the 35th minute as Gu Bin latched onto Franko Andrijasevic's pass from the right side before firing past Wang Dalei, but Chen Pu put his side on level terms in the 53rd minute with a volley from Brazilian midfielder Moises' assist
Both sides had chances in the opening stages, with Shandong's attacking line maintaining their sharpness in the absence of Crysan, while Zhejiang sent several crosses from the right into the box, forcing keeper Wang Dalei into action.
