BEIJING - The Zhejiang Lions edged the Guangdong Southern Tigers 93-90, while the Jiangsu Dragons defeated the Tianjin Pioneers 114-107 in the 30th round of the 2022-23 Chinese Basketball Association league regular season on Saturday.

Hu Jinqiu and Sun Minghui's frequent paint attacks helped Zhejiang take a 12-point lead in the first quarter, but the league third-ranking Guangdong, triggered by veteran Yi Jianlian's jump shot and dunk, quickly fought back in the next 12 minutes.

The Southern Tigers overtook the Lions by one point to wrap up the third quarter, but William Cummings' two shots behind the arc held the ground for Zhejiang in the intense fourth quarter. Even though Marshon Brooks' steal in the final moments led to a two-point layup, it was too late for the visitors
