HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Customs has seized about 1.15 kilograms of suspected crack cocaine and about 1.1kg of suspected cocaine in Tuen Mun and arrested a man in this connection.
The total estimated market value of the haul was about HK$2.1 million, according to a government statement.
They further seized about 1.1kg of suspected cocaine, about 700g of suspected crack cocaine, and a batch of suspected drug manufacturing and packaging paraphernalia, the statement adds
The discovery was made after Customs officers intercepted a 38-year-old man on suspicion during an anti-narcotics operation in Tuen Mun Monday night. They found about 450 grams of suspected crack cocaine in a paper bag the man was carrying.

Officers later escorted the man to a nearby residential property for a follow-up search.
They further seized about 1.1kg of suspected cocaine, about 700g of suspected crack cocaine, and a batch of suspected drug manufacturing and packaging paraphernalia, the statement adds.
The investigation is underway.

Reminding the public that trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offense, the Customs cautioned people that it could earn a maximum penalty of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.
