CSL: Shanghai Shenhua beats Changchun Yatai 1-0

SHANGHAI - Shanghai Shenhua beat Changchun Yatai for its third consecutive 1-0 win this season in the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Wednesday.

In the 64th minute, Shenhua striker Cephas Malele broke the deadlock, scoring the lone goal with the help of his young teammate Xu Haoyang.

Malele showed his confidence about the derby when Shanghai Shenhua will meet Shanghai Port on Sunday.

"We will do everything in the derby to secure victory," the striker said.

Shanghai Port also won on Wednesday as Wu Lei found the net in the 45th minute to help his team overcome Cangzhou Mighty Lions 1-0.

Elsewhere, Tianjin Jinmen Tiger edged Shenzhen 2-0 while Dalian Pro played out a 0-0 drew with Chengdu Rongcheng.
