Modi confirms India's interest in hosting 2036 Olympics

MUMBAI - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed his country's interest in hosting the 2036 Summer Olympics.

"India is very excited to organize an Olympics," Modi said during his address at the opening of the 141st International Olympic Committee (IOC) session in Mumbai on Saturday night.

"India will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to organize the 2036 Olympics."

Modi also said that India is interested in bidding for the 2029 Summer Youth Olympic Games.

"I am very confident that India will consistently get the support of the IOC," Modi claimed.
