BEIJING – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday called for working together to inject more certainty and stability into the region and the world, when he met with leaders and officials various countries who are in Beijing for the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
During his meeting with Egyptian PM Mostafa Madbouly, Xi said China and Egypt are good friends who cherish the same aspirations and trust each other.
China stands ready to work with Egypt to jointly safeguard international fairness and justice and the common interests of developing countries to inject more certainty and stability into the region and the world, he said.
On the current situation between Palestine and Israel, the Chinese leader stressed that the top priority is to ceasefire and stop war at an early date. It is crucial to prevent the conflict from expanding or even losing control and causing a serious humanitarian crisis, he added.
The fundamental way out of the recurring Palestine-Israel conflict lies in implementing the "two-state solution" and establishing an independent State of Palestine, so as to realize the peaceful coexistence of Palestine and Israel, said Xi.

He said China appreciates the important role played by Egypt in de-escalating the situation and supports Egypt's efforts to open humanitarian corridors.
China is willing to enhance coordination with Egypt and Arab countries to facilitate a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue at the earliest possible opportunity, he said.
Madbouly said that Egypt and Arab countries commended China for its consistent and fair stance on the Palestinian issue and look forward to China's more significant role in resolving the current crisis.

President Xi said China stands ready to advance the synergy of the Belt and Road Initiative with Cambodia's Pentagon Strategy and let China's development bring more dividends to the Cambodian people.
This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia as well as the China-Cambodia Friendship Year, Xi said while meeting with Cambodian PM Hun Manet.
The two sides should maintain high-level strategic communication to chart the course for building a high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era, Xi said.

China-Mongolia partnership
Noting that Mongolia is a natural partner in the Belt and Road cooperation, President Xi hopes Mongolia will play a greater role in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation by leveraging its geographical location of connecting Europe and Asia.
China will, as always, help Mongolia revitalize its economy, promote the construction of related border ports in an orderly manner, and open up new channels for connectivity between the two countries, Xi said during his meeting with Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh

He also noted that China is willing to expand trilateral cooperation among China, Mongolia and Russia, and make steady progress in the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.
Khurelsukh said the outcomes of the third BRF will inject fresh and strong impetus into world economic growth.
Mongolia is ready to promote cooperation with China in fields such as economy and trade, connectivity, mineral resources and energy, desertification prevention and control, and green development, as well as step up people-to-people and cultural exchanges, he said.
Highly commending China's important role in world peace and stability, Khurelsukh noted that Mongolia attaches importance to strengthening trilateral cooperation among Mongolia, China and Russia, and it is willing to promote interaction and collaboration with China in multilateral affairs.
The two heads of state witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents in fields including green and low-carbon sector and digital economy.
Senior Chinese officials including Cai Qi and Wang Yi attended the events.
China-Turkmenistan partnership
President Xi on called for enhancing China-Turkmenistan comprehensive strategic partnership, saying it serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and the shared aspiration of the two peoples.
China will continue to work with Turkmenistan to push for sustained steady growth of bilateral relations, Xi said on Thursday in Beijing when meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
Xi said that China is willing to strengthen the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and Turkmenistan's development strategy to revive the Great Silk Road.
He pointed out that the two sides should expand the scale of bilateral trade, enhance cooperation in medical and health care, sports and tourism, and build the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan at an early date.
Berdimuhamedov said President Xi's keynote speech at the opening of the third BRF charted the course for future cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides should continue to deepen economic and energy cooperation as well as people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and strengthen multilateral communication and coordination within frameworks such as the China-Central Asia mechanism, said Berdimuhamedov.
The two leaders witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents covering sectors such as economic and technological cooperation.

Stategic partnership
Describing the Republic of the Congo as an active participant and important partner in the Belt and Road cooperation, Xi said that friendly cooperation between the two countries has yielded tangible results.
China is willing to explore and foster new areas of cooperation such as the digital economy and green development with the Republic of the Congo, and promote their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to new heights, Xi said during his meeting with President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso.
Xi said that China supports the Republic of the Congo in maintaining national independence, opposing foreign interference, and playing a greater role in international and regional affairs.
Sassou Nguesso said that the Belt and Road Initiative is a great project that offers the world a new model of inclusive development.
He said that China is a major contributor to global economic growth. The Republic of the Congo looks forward to strengthening practical cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure and green energy, and maintaining close communication and coordination within frameworks including the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
The Republic of the Congo actively supports the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by Xi, Sassou Nguesso noted, saying that they are conducive to upholding multilateralism and international fairness and justice.
Senior Chinese officials Cai Qi and Wang Yi attended the meeting.
President Xi also met with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, Mozambican Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane, Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, and President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff in Beijing on Thursday.
