Two firefighters were taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment after attending to a fire that had broken out at a warehouse and a recycling site on Deep Bay Road in Lau Fau Shan, located at the northwestern corner of the New Territories, on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire, which started at 1:09 pm, was upgraded to a No 3 alarm at 1:20 pm, before being brought under control at 4:09 pm.

Firefighters were mobilized on four fire engines and equipped with breathing apparatus to fight the blaze.

Authorities have urged residents to remain indoors and close their windows and doors if they are affected by the smoke or odors.
