BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.33 percent to 3,168.52 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.8 percent lower at 9,795.94 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, fell 1.76 percent to close at 1,975.3 points.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
