Barcelona women lost for the first time in 46 Liga F games on Saturday, suffering a shock 2-1 defeat at home by lowly Levante.

Barca, who thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 in the Super Cup last Sunday, crashed to their first league loss since May 2023.

Levante took the lead in the 50th minute with Maria Alharilla's thunderous strike and doubled their advantage in stoppage time through Ivonne Chacon. Barcelona pulled one back through Fridolina Rolfo a minute later but it was too late.
