BEIJING - Chinese stocks were mixed in the morning session on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.36 percent to 3,238.85 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.44 percent to 10,201.14 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, rose 0.5 percent to 2,074.06 points in the morning session.

The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
