HARBIN – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday evening attended the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, capital city of China's Heilongjiang province.

Earlier, Xi met International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach and National Assembly Speaker of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik in the northeastern Chinese city.
