HK temperatures expected to dip again this weekend

Temperatures in Hong Kong are again expected to drop to as low as 13 degrees Celsius this weekend after going up to as high as 25°C on Sunday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.  

The HKO said a replenishment of the monsoon is forecast to reach the region early next week, with temperatures in the city ranging from 15°C to 19°C on Saturday and Sunday and 13°C to 18°C next Monday.

“Temperatures will fall and the weather will be rather cool over the region,” the HKO said.

Ta Kwu Ling in the New Territories could see a minimum temperature of 13°C on Saturday and Sunday, according to the HKO website.

The mercury rose to as high as 25°C in Hong Kong on Sunday afternoon. The city’s temperature at 12:40 pm on Monday was 21.5°C.

The HKO said the weather will remain mainly fine on Monday before becoming windy with cool mornings in the next couple of days, with the mercury ranging from 16 C to 19 C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sunny periods are expected in the latter part of this week before temperatures dip again in the weekend, it added.
