TOKYO - The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on Monday arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder after another 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on a street in Adachi Ward of Tokyo.
According to authorities, a call was made to emergency services at around 4:15 am local time for the stabbing.
The police arrived to find the victim with a stab wound near his right chest. He was transported to a hospital where he was confirmed dead later.

The suspect, a self-proclaimed company employee, admitted to stabbing the victim. The police are now investigating the details of the incident.
The crime scene is located in a residential area approximately 1.5 km west of Nishi-Arai Daishi Nishi Station on the Nippori-Toneri Liner.
