VIENTIANE - Representatives from the governments of Laos and Thailand met in Lao capital Vientiane to discuss strategies to combat human trafficking.
The meeting, held from Tuesday to Wednesday, focused on sharing information on anti-trafficking efforts, including victim protection, repatriation, and post-repatriation support.

During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of collaboration in monitoring trafficking cases and ensuring the safety and dignity of victims, according to the report of Lao National Radio.

The meeting also reviewed past cooperation, providing updates on legal support and victim compensation. Additionally, both countries reviewed their action plan for 2023-2025 and began planning the next phase of cooperation for 2026-2028.
