MOSCOW - Moscow is "categorically against" the possible deployment of Western peacekeepers in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
Such a scenario could lead to a direct clash between Russia and NATO, Zakharova said, adding that London and Paris are hatching plans for "a military intervention in Ukraine" under the guise of a peacekeeping operation.

France is holding a summit of a "coalition of the willing" in Paris on Thursday to discuss future support for Ukraine, one week after Britain gathered military chiefs from some 30 countries to discuss the coalition.
