CBA: Zhejiang Lions crush Ningbo Rockets

XI'AN, China - Barry Brown Jr. scored 25 points as the Zhejiang Lions routed the Ningbo Rockets 132-90 in a Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular-season game Thursday night.

Hu Jinqiu added 21 points, and Joshua Carlton finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Howard led the Rockets with 19 points.

The Lions established a double-digit lead in the first quarter. Midway through the second period, Brown capped a 13-4 run with a 3-pointer to extend the advantage to 50-36. Brown scored 11 points in the quarter, helping Zhejiang take a 70-51 halftime lead.

James Nunnally hit two 3-pointers early in the third quarter, and Hu added four consecutive points as the Lions stretched their lead to 106-68, rendering the fourth quarter inconsequential.

Elsewhere, the Qingdao Eagles beat the Shanghai Sharks 119-107, the Shandong Heroes won over the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 116-79, the Shenzhen Leopards defeated the Jiangsu Dragons 106-83, the Guangdong Southern Tigers smashed the Jilin Northeast Tigers 106-94, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls overpowered the Beijing Ducks 106-99, the Guangzhou Loong Lions overwhelmed the Fujian Sturgeons 114-106, the Nanjing Monkey Kings edged the Sichuan Blue Whales 127-124, the Shanxi Loongs saw off the Tianjin Pioneers 123-122.
