BEIJING - The 2024-2025 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season concluded on Monday, with the final standings determined. Zhejiang Lions claimed the top position, while the Nanjing Monkey Kings secured their historic first playoff berth.
In the final 46th round, the Beijing Ducks routed the Tianjin Pioneers 110-92. Beijing led on 63-58 at the break before the Ducks expanded the lead to 11 points to enter the final quarter. Beijing opened the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run to put the game beyond reach.
Eugene German led Beijing with 23 points, followed by 22 points from Zeng Fanbo. Chen Yingjun added 20. David James had a team-high 21 points and 7 rebounds for Tianjin. Lin Tingqian also contributed 21 points. Javion Hamlet finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The Guangdong Southern Tigers smashed the Sichuan Blue Whales 119-90. With a 9-0 run in the first quarter, Guangdong enjoyed an early 17-point lead to enter the second period. Guangdong expanded the advantage to 29 points after the third quarter and never looked back.
Troy Gillenwater scored 19 points for Guangdong. Darius Bazley and Zhang Wenyi had 14 points each. Marin Maric led Sichuan with 32 points and 21 rebounds, followed by 15 points from Marcus Georges-Hunt.

Elsewhere, the Qingdao Eagles beat the Fujian Sturgeons 124-101, the Jilin Northeast Tigers edged the Guangzhou Loong Lions 103-102, the Zhejiang Lions defeated the Jiangsu Dragons 109-93, the Liaoning Flying Leopards overwhelmed the Shandong Heroes 116-90, the Shanghai Sharks beat the Shenzhen Leopards 115-93, the Shanxi Loongs beat the Nanjing Monkey Kings 118-108, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers edged the Beijing Royal Fighters 85-81, and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls defeated the Ningbo Rockets 125-111.
