BEIJING - Zeng Fanbo scored a game-high 30 points as the Beijing Ducks defeated the Beijing Royal Fighters 106-100, leveling the series at 1-1 in the best-of-five quarterfinals of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) playoffs on Wednesday.
The Royal Fighters took the lead on 58-51 at the break before the Ducks surged a 10-0 run in the third quarter to achieve a come-from-behind victory.
Eugene German had 22 points and 8 assists for the Ducks, followed by 17 from Chen Yingjun. Jared Sullinger and Zou Yuchen scored 21 points apiece for the Royal Fighters. Grant Riller added 19 points and 7 assists.
The Shanxi Loongs smashed the Guangdong Southern Tigers 116-101, taking a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five series.
Guangdong usurped the lead on 36-29 in the first quarter before Shanxi took a 19-0 sprint to turn the table and put the game beyond reach.
Yuan Shuai led Shanxi with 29 points, followed by 28 points from Hamidou Diallo. Xu Jie had 23 points for Guangdong. Hu Mingxuan added 22 points.
