BEIJING - Chinese stocks were mixed in the morning session on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.31 percent to 3,301.59 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.41 percent to 9,865.3 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, went down 0.98 percent to close at 1,925.24 points in the morning session.

The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
