Tsitsipas sets up Marseille showdown against Auger-Aliassime

MARSEILLE - Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the final of ATP Marseille for the second consecutive year here on Saturday, beating Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik 7-5, 6-3 to advance.

The 21-year-old second seed and world number six, bidding for his first back-to-back titles at an ATP Tour event, will face Canadian rising star Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final on Sunday.

"It keeps getting better and better. I really appreciate all the love that I receive here and tomorrow is an exciting day. I need to prepare, be ready for it and I can't wait to show an even better Stefanos tomorrow." said Tsitsipas, the defending ATP Tour Final champion, after the semifinal.

On the other hand, world No 18 Auger-Aliassime will play his second ATP Tour final in as many weeks, after beating French veteran Gilles Simon 7-5, 7-6 (2) in the semis.

Coming to Marseille as the runner-up in Rotterdam last week, Auger-Aliassime has saved five match points on his way to the final day in Marseille.

The 19-year-old Auger-Aliassime stood out as the winner in two of the three previous head to head clashes against Tsitsipas but losing in their most recent meeting four months ago in Shanghai Masters.
