KUALA LUMPUR - The Lingshui China Masters 2020 and Dutch Open 2020 have been called off for this year over the COVID-19 situation, the Badminton World Federation said on Tuesday.
The Dutch Open, scheduled for October 6 to 11, had also been dropped for this year
The Lingshui Masters was rescheduled twice previously from its original slot in China from February 25 to March 1, but was later pushed to May and then August, the world governing body of badminton said in a statement.
It added that the Dutch Open, scheduled for October 6 to 11, had also been dropped for this year.

On May 22, the BWF unveiled a revamped tournament calendar for the remainder of 2020 following disruptions caused by COVID-19, to account for the effects of the outbreak.
The new calendar includes a number of tournaments that had been suspended or postponed earlier due to the pandemic, including the Thomas & Uber Cup Finals.
But badminton's world governing body also said at that time that competitions will not be resumed "unless it is absolutely clear that is safe to do so". Since then, several tournaments have been confirmed canceled.
