BEIJING - The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials Tuesday.

Min Yiren was appointed head of the China Earthquake Administration.

Zheng Guoguang was removed from the posts of vice-minister of emergency management and head of the China Earthquake Administration.
