HONG KONG - The volume of Hong Kong’s total goods exports increased by 10.3 percent year-on-year in September, according to data released by the city’s Census and Statistics Department on Thursday.

The volume of goods imports for the month rose 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
Prices of goods exports and imports decreased 0.8 percent and 1.3 percent year-on-year for the month.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 5 percent in the third quarter compared with the preceding quarter, while the volume of goods imports rose 3.8 percent, according to the data.
Comparing the first nine months of the year with the same period in 2019, the volume of goods exports fell 3.2 percent, while that of goods imports dropped 5.8 percent.

Prices of goods exports for the period decreased 0.8 percent, while that of goods imports fell 0.9 percent.
