Editor's note: With the Beijing Winter Olympics ending on Sunday, the feel-good moments have been piling up. On sport's biggest stage of all, rivals and teammates have been embracing the core Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect.

After the United States beat China 7-5 in a mixed doubles curling match on Feb 5, Fan Suyuan and Ling Zhi presented their American rivals, Christopher Plys and Vicky Persinger, with a set of commemorative pins featuring Games mascot Bing Dwen Dwen.
"They're just beautiful, something super unique. These will be on my desk for a very, very long time," Plys said.
The four competitors posed for the cameras together while showing off the pin sets. The American duo then posted the photos on social media, saying they were "honored to receive these beautiful Beijing 2022 pin sets in a wonderful display of sportsmanship by our Chinese counterparts".
Gu Ailing
Team China sensation Gu Ailing grabbed the freeski Big Air title from France's Tess Ledeux with her last jump. Ledeux had set the benchmark of 94.5 points on her first run but failed to improve on her final score due to a flaw on the landing during her last attempt.
Just moments after Ledeux finished her competition, Gu and bronze medalist Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland came together to console Ledeux, who lost her father last year.
"We were going through the emotions at the end," Gu said. "I won because of them, because they had inspired me so much and made me who I am. I just wanted to express my gratitude. We are all out here to do this together."

Su Yiming
After winning the silver medal in the men's slopestyle on Feb 7, China's Su Yiming hugged champion Max Parrott and bronze-medal winner Mark McMorris, before the three posed for a group photograph, hands on each other's shoulders.
In an interview with Xinhua, the 17-year-old Su saluted his two rivals, both of Canada, describing them as his idols and heroes.
When reporters relayed Su's words to McMorris, the three-time Olympian responded: "It's amazing to be an idol of someone really special."
"Su is a true snowboarder. I will say he has a bright future and I am proud of him," McMorris said.
Yuzuru Hanyu
After a dizzying build-up of anticipation, Hanyu's free skate to Isao Tomita's "Heaven and Earth" opened to bated breaths, only to see him fall on his first jump – the quadruple Axel that he has been pursuing with all-consuming determination.
Hanyu then fell on his next jump, too. He placed fourth in the men's singles free skating competition.
Taking a deep bow to loud applause and touching the ice before stepping off the rink, the 27-year-old struck a lonely figure sitting by himself in the kiss and cry.

Xu Mengtao
Xu Mengtao, Jia Zongyang and Qi Guangpu of China won the silver medal in the inaugural freestyle skiing mixed team aerials final on Feb 10. Though Jia blamed himself for compromising the team's chances for gold since he failed to land his last jump, he received hugs and kind words from his teammates.
"I wanted to hug him, to release his stress," Xu said. "That forward rolling in the landing will not stop him and us from being excellent athletes".
Shaun White
Three-time Olympic champion Shaun White of the United States broke down in tears after his final run on Feb 11 in his fifth and last Olympics, in which he missed out on the podium.
The legendary snowboarder White finished in fourth place with 85.00 points in his Beijing 2022 campaign. The ending may not have been perfect, but it was the 35-year-old who received the loudest applause of the day.
"I'm so thankful for my career, thankful to China for having us," White said after the competition.

Ashley Caldwell
Chinese athlete Xu Mengtao won gold in the freestyle skiing women's aerials, China's first in that category.
What came as an icing on the cake was when her US competitor Ashley Caldwell congratulated her on her success, gave her a tight hug and called her "Tao Tao".
Such a generous display of warmth demonstrates the Olympic spirit. Caldwell had ranked first after the first round of the final, but she erred on the landing of her last jump, finishing fourth. Yet still she came forward to congratulate Xu.
Erin Jackson
US speed skater Erin Jackson won the women's 500m gold medal at the Winter Olympics in a time of 37.04 on Feb 13.
Jackson almost missed competing in the 500m at the Olympics after she slipped during US qualifying trials, but her teammate and friend Brittany Bowe gave up her own spot to ensure the world No 1 was able to go to Beijing - and it paid off.
After the race, Jackson said the pair embraced: "She hugged me, said she is really proud of me, and I just said a lot of thank yous."
