BEIJING - Huang Zichang scored two goals in the second half as Henan Songshan Longmen rallied past Guangzhou City 2-1, and Shanghai Shenhua won over Hebei FC 1-0 in the ninth round of the Chinese Super League on Thursday.
Guangzhou City had suffered six defeats in a row prior to Thursday's game. They got an opportunity of ending this embarrassing record with Chen Junle's goal in the 33rd minute, but their hope was later ruined by Huang's double goals.

Henan ranked third with 20 points, while Guangzhou City sat second from the bottom.

Headers became Shanghai Shenhua's decisive play in their narrow victory over Hebei. Liu Ruofan, Zhu Jianrong and Jiang Shenglong all produced dangerous headers in the first half, but all of them were denied by Hebei goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong.
Bao once again blocked Liu's header in the 56th minute, but Zhu's follow-up attempt broke the stalemate.

Elsewhere, Shenzhen FC defeated Cangzhou Mighty Lions 2-1, and Beijing Guoan and Meizhou Hakka finished in a goalless draw.
