TASHKENT - Chinese judoka Ma Zhenzhao won silver in the women's 78kg category to secure the nation's first medal at the 2022 Judo World Championships on Tuesday.
Ma Zhenzhao defeated Yelyzaveta Lytvynenko from Ukraine, but was held down by the category's winner Mayra Aguiar from Brazil

Host judoka Muzaffarbek Turoboyev topped the men's 100kg competition with a win over Canadian Kyle Reyes. Zelym Kotsoiev from Azerbaijan and Michael Korrel from the Netherlands took bronze medals.
After six competition days, Japan led the medal tally with five golds, followed by Brazil and Uzbekistan, while China jumped to 12th.
