BEIJING - Guangzhou City kept their revival after Li Weifeng was appointed as head coach, with Ye Chugui's brace helping them thrash Hebei FC 4-0 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
The struggling Hebei side had suffered a 14-game losing streak before the match, but something worse arrived.
Guangzhou City dominated the field with Ye Chugui's goals before the break and in the 72nd minute. Liu Weifeng was beaten by Guangzhou's Gui Hong in the 77th minute, and Song Wenjie rounded off a counter-attack in the stoppage time to sink Hebei
Hebei defender Liu Runnan substituted injured goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong in the 31st minute, and the short-handed side paid for it.

Guangzhou City dominated the field with Ye's goals before the break and in the 72nd minute. 21-year-old Liu was beaten by Guangzhou's Gui Hong in the 77th minute, and Song Wenjie rounded off a counter-attack in the stoppage time to sink Hebei.
Li's side is still in the relegation zone while having secured 12 points over the past seven games.
A brilliant finish by Cheng Changcheng in the 32nd minute earned under-pressure Changchun Yatai a 1-0 victory over Meizhou Hakka, its first win over the past four matches.

Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan routed Guangzhou FC 4-1, Cangzhou Mighty Lions overcame Shanghai Shenhua 2-1, Chengdu Rongcheng beat the league's leader Wuhan Three Towns 1-0, Henan Songshan Longmen won over Shenzhen FC 2-0, and Zhejiang FC beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 2-1.
