Hong Kong's low-cost carrier HK Express welcomed its first A321neo airbus on Wednesday, as the company plans to expand its aircraft fleet following the full resumption of normal travel in the city.

The A321neo will be officially put into operation on the Hong Kong-Bangkok route from April 2.

The aircraft is the longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ A320 family, seating 236 passengers, six more than HK Express’ current A321ceo aircraft.

According to local media, Chairman of HK Express Ronald Lam Siu-por said his company is expected to resume the number of flights to the pre-pandemic level by the end of March.
