HONG KONG - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted 23 km off Kandrian, Papua New Guinea, on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 55.674 km, was initially determined to be at 5.9994 degrees south latitude and 149.6062 degrees east longitude.
