CBA: Cheng's buzzer beater leads Zhejiang past Shenzhen

SHENZHEN, China - Cheng Shuaipeng made a last-second three-pointer as the Zhejiang Golden Bulls upset the Shenzhen Aviators 93-92 in Game 4 of the CBA semifinals here on Tuesday, setting up a Game 5 clash.

In the first quarter, Jared Sullinger and He Xining helped Shenzhen build an early advantage and the home team led 26-21 into the second quarter. Wu Qian inspired a 6-0 run for Zhejiang, who led 48-45 going into the halftime break.

Sullinger and He combined to help Shenzhen regain their lead and enter into the final quarter 70-68 in front. Shenzhen kept their momentum to increase their advantage to six points with four minutes left, only to see Lu Wenbo and Wu hit consecutive three-pointers to pull the game all level again.

The two sides were tied at 90-90 with less than one minute left in the game, before Shen Zijie made a layup to put Shenzhen ahead 92-90 with only 1.9 seconds to go. After a timeout, Lu sent a midcourt throw-in before Cheng grabbed the three-pointer just before the time ran out.

Nicholas Rakocevic scored 20 points, Wu contributed 15 points, while Cheng had 12 points for Zhejiang. He scored a game-high 23 points for Shenzhen.
