Chic Hong Kong shopping festival will be held in Shenzhen from Friday to Sunday, bringing a variety of Hong Kong products to the mainland market.

The shopping festival, jointly organized by Shenzhen government and Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is the first large-scale event for promoting consumer goods from Hong Kong in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area since the border reopened.

In addition to a variety of products, more than 100 activities will also be held at Chic Hong Kong, including the “9+2” street dance finals, a KamCha Hong Kong Style Milk Tea performance, a hip-hop performance, a daily lucky draw, free food tasting, etc

As part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation Week, the shopping festival brings together nearly 80 exhibitors and over 130 brands from Hong Kong, covering consumer electronics and technology products, smart home supplies, fashion and accessories, food and beverages, and health products. Forty percent of the exhibitors are making their first foray into the mainland market.

Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu and Chairman of HKTDC Peter Lam Kin-ngok will attend the opening ceremony in Shenzhen on Friday.

Guangdong province is the most preferred investment destination for Hong Kong enterprises and is a valuable trading partner for Hong Kong, Lee said.

The Cooperation Week event series will further promote Hong Kong's services and products in various cities in the province, and encourage Guangdong enterprises to invest in Hong Kong or use Hong Kong as a platform to go global with a view to expanding their overseas markets, he said.
