BOGOTA - China succumbed to a 6-0 defeat to South Korea in the recurve women's team final, taking a silver medal as the archery World Cup concluded in Medellin, Colombia on Saturday.
China, comprising Li Jiaman, Wu Jiaxin and Yang Xiaolei, had edged Chinese Taipei 5-4 through a shoot-off in the semifinals, but was unable to match their South Korean counterparts, who had won nine Olympic gold medals in a row.
Chinese Taipei took the bronze medal after defeating the United States 5-3.
South Korea also bagged the recurve men's team gold with a final victory over Chinese Taipei, but were stopped from completing a gold sweep in recurve team events as they had at the previous stop in Shanghai after falling to the United States in the mixed team final shoot-off.
