HONG KONG – Commissioner for Transport Rosanna Law Shuk-pui has been named as the new permanent secretary for housing and director of housing.
On Aug 15, she will replace Agnes Wong Tin-yu who will proceed on pre-retirement leave, the government announced on Friday.
Maisie Chan will take over as the Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Angela Lee Chung-yan, who is currently Deputy Secretary for Development (Works), will succeed Law as commissioner for transport on Aug 28.
Deputy Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Maisie Chan Kit-ling will assume the post of Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on July 10, succeeding Tommy Yuen Man-chung, who is on pre-retirement leave.
Pointing out that the three appointees are seasoned administrative officers with proven leadership and management skills, Secretary for the Civil Service Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung Ho Poi-yan said: “I have every confidence that they will continue to serve the community with professionalism in their new capacities.”
The civil service chief also thanked Agnes Wong and Tommy Yuen, who served the community for 34 years and 38 years respectively, and wished them both a fulfilling and happy retirement.
