HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will implement the “633” fixed toll system in the city’s three road harbor crossings starting Aug 2, the Transport Department said Thursday.
The system will be implemented at the Western Harbour Crossing (WHC), Cross-Harbour Tunnel (CHT) and Eastern Harbour Crossing (EHC) next Wednesday after the Legislative Council passed the Road Tunnels (Government) (Amendment) Ordinance 2023.
The Transport Department said cross-harbor taxis will be charged an all-day fixed toll of HK$25 for the three road harbor crossings
The fixed toll for private cars using the WHC will be lowered to HK$60 ($7.69), while that for the CHT and the EHC will be adjusted to HK$30, the TD said.

It said cross-harbor taxis will be charged an all-day fixed toll of HK$25 for the three road harbor crossings. And like under the current additional fare arrangement, a taxi passenger will need to pay both the outbound and return toll (a total of HK$50) if they board a taxi from non-cross harbor taxi stands.
Tolls for other vehicle types will remain unchanged, the department added.
The TD reminded motorists that the toll tickets sold by the Western Harbour Tunnel Company Ltd for payment of WHC tolls, as well as the current commercial promotions provided by the company, will be terminated upon the expiry of the WHC franchise.
