PHNOM PENH - Cambodia's outgoing Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Thursday afternoon unveiled the incoming government members led by his eldest son Hun Manet.
After a meeting with them at the Cambodian People's Party (CPP)'s headquarters in Phnom Penh, Hun Sen, who is also the CPP's president, released photos on social media showing Prime Minister-Designate Hun Manet posing for group photos with his new cabinet members.
The ruling CPP won a landslide victory in the July 23 general election, gaining 120 out of 125 seats in the National Assembly
According to the draft list of the new cabinet members, the new five-year-term cabinet will be made up of one prime minister, 10 deputy prime ministers, 11 senior ministers and 30 ministers.
Hun Manet, along with his new cabinet members, will need to win a vote of confidence in the National Assembly slated for Aug. 22 in order to officially become the new prime minister, and he is expected to be sworn in on the same day.
