WUHAN - Shanghai Shenhua beat Wuhan Three Towns 2-1 away from home, while Beijing Guoan registered a 1-0 win against Nantong Zhiyun in the 2023 Chinese Super League on Sunday.
Brazilian striker Davidson broke the deadlock from a corner to put Wuhan ahead with just four minutes on the clock. Cephas Malele scored in the 37th minute to level for Shenhua, following up after his initial effort was saved.
Ibrahim Amadou scored the decisive goal in the 57th minute to fire Shenhua to victory.

After a humiliating defeat to Shanghai Port in the local derby, Shanghai Shenhua has rallied to win two consecutive games against Shenzhen and Wuhan, and now sits second in the 16-team CSL with 41 points, 11 points behind runaway leader Shanghai Port.
Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan beat Nantong Zhiyun 1-0 thanks to Michael Ngadeu's magnificent goal with his heel from a corner in the second half.

In Sunday's other CSL fixtures, Shandong Taishan crushed Cangzhou Mighty Lions 4-0 at home, Henan beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 1-0, and Dalian Pro edged Shenzhen 2-1.
