HONG KONG - Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu met Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping on Thursday to exchange views on further strengthening cooperation and development between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the areas of arts and culture, and tourism.
Welcoming Hu’s visit with his delegation at Government House, the CE expressed his gratitude to Hu for his guidance and support in the development of arts and culture in the HKSAR, and to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for its support and provision of facilitation measures in enhancing the exchanges of tourists.
Lee said the city’s tourism industry has been recovering steadily, hoping that the SAR government can promote further cooperation with the ministry to enhance the development of the tourism industry and support arts groups on the mainland and the city to have more performances and interactions.

Also joining the meeting were Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung and director of the Chief Executive's Office Carol Yip.
