BAGHDAD- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani on Monday rejected attacks targeting the country's military bases housing experts of the US-led coalition forces, according to a statement by al-Sudani's media office.

The statement came a day after an armed group calling itself "The Islamic Resistance in Iraq" claimed responsibility for launching an attack on an airbase housing military experts of the US-led coalition forces in Iraq's western province of Anbar.

According to the statement, al-Sudani has ordered security services to track down and prosecute the perpetrators of the attacks.
